Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2024) - Hillsborough County Pet Resources is offering free rabies shots and microchips for dogs and cats at a drive-thru event on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Residents can bring their dogs and cats to Hillsborough Community College's Brandon campus, 10451 Nancy Watkins Dr., Tampa, FL 33619. This is a drive-thru event only; residents and pets should remain in the vehicle. Motorists should enter the parking lot via Nancy Watkins Drive.
Dogs and cats can receive rabies vaccinations, microchips, tags and registration, all at no cost. The event will be from 8 a.m. until noon, or until supplies last. Dogs and cats must be 3 months or older to receive the vaccine.
In Hillsborough County, all dogs and cats 4 months or older are required to be up to date with their rabies vaccinations.
