Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2024) - New Tampa Performing Arts Center (NTPAC) continues to bring diverse, high-quality entertainment to the community in 2025. NTPAC's January and February events offer something for everyone. Mark your calendars and grab your tickets for these upcoming events:

New Tampa Unplugged

Inspired by the hit show, MTV Unplugged, the New Tampa Unplugged concert series presents acoustic performances by notable Tampa Bay musicians. The theater is transformed into a unique, living-room-style venue with candlelit cabaret seating.   • Daniella Mass on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m.: An opera singer and composer, Mass was featured on America's Got Talent and is known as "The Liri Pop Princess" for pioneering a new music genre: Liri Pop. Her Unplugged concert will include timeless classics and original work performed across the English, Spanish, Japanese, and French languages.
  • Reflections Chamber Ensemble O King on Monday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m.: Reflections Chamber Ensemble has presented chamber music from the 20th and 21st centuries to Tampa Bay audiences for over 20 years. O King is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision.
  • Alexis Carra on Friday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m.: Carra's musical theatre career has spanned from the Broadway stage to Hollywood, but Tampa has always been home. This concert is an homage to her Tampa roots where she'll tell stories and perform songs about the people and places of Tampa.

Taiko Drums of Japan with Tampa Taiko on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m.

Experience Asian culture and celebrations like Lunar New Year, Chinese New Year, and Matsuri Festivals with Tampa Taiko! They'll bring traditional music and dancing styles to the stage, including The Chinese Lion Dance, a 3,000-year-old Chinese tradition that symbolizes prosperity, luck, and happiness. Jon Lehrer Dance Company on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m.

Jon Lehrer Dance Company (JLDC) will bring its signature athletic, artistic, and accessible brand of dance to NTPAC. Striking the elusive balance between art and entertainment, JLDC showcases an exciting and distinctive style that fuses jazz and modern dance. Tampa Bay Symphony Scandinavian Romance on Friday, Feb. 14, at 8 p.m.

The Tampa Bay Symphony consists of over 80 musicians and has been described as "one of Tampa Bay's hidden jewels." Purchase tickets on the Tampa Bay Symphony website.

Fleetwood Mac: The Premier Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show on Friday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m.

This concert mystically captures the essence of the original Fleetwood Mac, taking the audience on a nostalgic, flashback journey to when they first heard the timeless tunes that generations have come to love. Sankofa on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m.

Join Kuumba Dancers and Drummers to experience the rhythms, songs, and dances of the African diaspora. Bring your family and friends to this exciting cultural journey from the continent of Africa, through the Caribbean to America. TIMINI: A West African Cinderella Tale on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m.

Kuumba Dancers and Drummers will bring TIMINI to the stage. Taking place in the village of Fadiout, Senegal, TIMINI is the classic tale of Cinderella reimagined and brought to life through African music, dance, storytelling, and audience participation. Pavlo in Concert on Friday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

A night of Spanish, Flamenco, and Mediterranean guitar. Pavlo returns home for a very special concert with his full band and special guests. Tickets are $50 and purchased through Pavlo's website.

Five-Dollar Flicks

Catch a movie on the big screen for just $5 a ticket. NTPAC will screen Disney's Tangled on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. as part of its Kids Film Series. Purchase tickets at NewTampaArtsCenter.org/Tickets.
