Hillsborough County, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2025) - Meet adorable, adoptable dogs and cats - they're scary cute! - at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center's Paw-loween event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
A costume contest for PRC pets begins at 2 p.m., and visitors can trick or treat at decorated trunks with local pet rescue groups and organizations. A festive photo booth will be available to capture fall memories.
All adoption fees will be waived Saturday.
The Pet Resource Center, 440 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619, is Hillsborough's only open-admissions shelter, meaning it takes in stray animals regardless of age, breed, or size. Residents can view the hundreds of adoptable pets online at HCFL.gov/Adopt, including medical and behavioral records.
