The County budgeted more than $280 million new fire stations and positions
Hillsborough County is continuing its commitment to public safety by expanding Fire Rescue staffing, equipment, and facilities across the fast-growing county. With two new fire stations under construction and more on the way, the County continues to build capacity capable of keeping up with its rapid growth.
Crews recently broke ground on Station No. 47 in North Sun City and Station No. 48 in Progress Village. Both communities have seen sharp increases in population, and these new stations will shorten response times and bring emergency services closer to the residents who need them.
