Calling all landscape professionals, arborists, urban foresters, or green‑industry specialists - Hillsborough County Extension is offering a Tree and Landscape Short Course on Thursday, Feb. 5, to help you sharpen your skills and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving field.
The course features an array of programming from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including therapeutic horticulture in landscape design and disaster recovery. Breakout sessions will cover arboriculture, including Prescription Pruning Qualifications (PPQ) demonstrations, landscape management, and pesticide application.
This year's agenda is thoughtfully crafted to address both foundational and emerging topics in tree and landscape care. In just one day, refresh your knowledge and abilities and walk away with fresh perspective ready to step up your care.
Participants can earn a series of continuing education credits through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and the International Society of Arboriculture.
Hosted at the UF/IFAS Gulf Coast Research & Education Center, this full‑day, in‑person program is packed with practical insights designed to elevate your professional practice.
Registration is $50 and includes lunch.
