Meet firefighters, watch police dog demonstrations, and maybe even adopt a dog
Ready to meet your match? Join the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC), Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR), and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) as they team up to help shelter pets find their forever families during the Heroes and Hounds Adoption Event.
This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Rescue Station 46, 10775 Rhodine Rd., Riverview, FL 33579. Attendees can expect to meet adoptable dogs, visit vendor and educational booths, view HCFR engines on display, watch HCSO K-9 Unit demonstrations, learn fire safety tips from firefighters, enjoy free ice cream, and much more.

Adoption fees will be waived, and adoptions will be available on-site, giving you the opportunity to bring home a new best friend the same day.
