The recent hurricanes caused us to close many park locations due to significant damage. While most locations have opened, some remain closed. Before visiting any park, please use the "Find Park Status" button below to see if the location is on the closed/partially closed list.
Please note: Since the vast majority of the parks are now open, starting on Nov. 28, we will remove the Parks Status page and list any closure information directly on the pages for those locations.
The Balm Boyette Scrub Nature Preserve is 5,723 acres. The south part of the preserve is best known for its 25 miles of mountain biking trails which provide something for everyone from novice to expert riders.
The preserve's significance extends beyond its recreational use. The preserve is also home to more than 800 acres of intact scrub habitat. This rare and declining habitat supports many protected plant and animal species, many of which cannot survive without it. These species include the Florida golden aster, Florida scrub-jays, indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises.
