Landfill Disposal Fees for Residents to Begin June 1, 2026
- As of June 1, residential customers can no longer use their their property tax bill limited disposal allowance to dispose of items at the Southeast County Landfill
- Residents must pay the commercial disposal fee and wear hard hat, closed toed shoes, and high visibility vest or shirt

Personal Protective Equipment, including hard hat, closed toe shoes, and high-visibility vest or shirt must be worn at the landfill.

What is accepted at the landfill
- Non-burnable solid waste, such as broken furniture
- Scrap metal, including appliances
- Tires
- Pre-approval for waste that requires special handling, such as:
- Lab testing that demonstrates waste is not hazardous
- Animal carcasses that require a separate disposal area
- Preparation for safe handling (e.g. asbestos-containing material)

What is not accepted the landfill
- Construction and demolition debris, including concrete and asphalt
- Liquid waste (e.g. dairy products)
- Yard and wood waste
- Hazardous waste
- Containerized waste (i.e., in drums)
- Biohazardous waste
- Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)
- Radioactive waste

Landfill disposal and road conditions
- No hand unloading after 4:30 PM Customers arriving after 4:30 PM must be able to tip or mechanically unload.
- Most roads within the landfill are unpaved and have uneven surfaces.
- Roads can get muddy due to rain, which increases the chance of your vehicle getting stuck. Please use a vehicle with all-wheel drive during and after rain, or wait until rain has passed. We cannot guarantee assistance to move vehicles stuck in the mud.
