Salary
Min $61,339.20 annually

The Hillsborough County Transportation Review, Standards, and Design Section is seeking an Engineering Associate to administrate the Section's responsibilities for Transportation and Drainage projects of various kinds. The ideal candidate will have / be able to:
- A thorough knowledge of FDOT and Hillsborough County Design Criteria
- A working knowledge of the County's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Review Process and coordination needed
- Coordinate and facilitate the review process for projects assigned for review by the Development Services Department (DSD) and collaborate with management, staff, consultants, engineers, and developers.
- A working knowledge of the Development Services Department Optix system for logging processes, notes, and findings
- A working knowledge of SharePoint lists and libraries
- Provide technical expertise and training on the SharePoint Review Process to reviewers and EORs
- Actively contribute to the Biannual Technical Manual renewal updates as part of committees and collaborate on publications
- Coordinate updates for the Public Works pages on the County website
- Coordinate and provide the information for the Annual Report Newsletter
- Coordinate in-house training sessions, preparing materials, invitations, reminders, and venues
- Assist customers in understanding the Public Works Review Process policies and regulations
- Review projects for design criteria compliance and assists peers with finding plans, document, code references
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in Engineering or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an Engineering-related field; AND
- Fifteen years of demonstrated experience in the planning, assessment, design, construction, inspection of public infrastructure projects, or modeling of water, wastewater, storm water or traffic systems; OR
- An equivalent combination of education (not less than possession of a High School diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above
