County unveils winning students' artwork on Solid Waste trucks and invites students to submit their fourth annual art contest 'Recycle Hero' creations
Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management has revealed the winning artwork from the 2025 Waste Reduction and Recycling Art Contest, now displayed on the back of County Solid Waste trucks. The moving masterpieces highlight how small acts of waste reduction and proper recycling make a great impact across the community and the environment.
Three winners were selected, with one from each school level: elementary, middle, and high school. Their artwork reflects the 2025 contest theme, "Small Acts, Big Impact - Show How Everyday Choices Help Reduce Waste at Home and in Your Community."
The annual art contest encourages students to express their creativity while reinforcing the County's commitment to environmental education, waste reduction, and recycling.

Ninth - 12th Grade Winner
Submissions Now Open: Deadline April 30
The theme for the fourth annual contest is "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Hero." Students are invited to create original artwork featuring a hero whose powers help the community reduce waste and protect the environment.

Encourage your kids, neighbors, and friends to take part. They may see their artwork traveling throughout the County next year.
