List of holidays when most offices are closed
Most Hillsborough County government offices are closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day - January 1*
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day - third Monday in January
- Memorial Day - last Monday in May
- Juneteenth - June 19*
- Independence Day - July 4*
- Labor Day - first Monday in September
- Veterans Day - November 11*
- Thanksgiving - fourth Thursday and Friday in November
- Christmas (two days) - December 25 and one other day**
- If December 25th is on a weekend, the offices will close Friday and Monday or Monday and Tuesday
*If the date falls on a weekend, County offices will close Monday or Friday to observe the holiday.
