Children's Services assists youth ages 6 to 17 who are chronically exhibiting truant, runaway, or unruly behavior
The Case Staffing program goal is to establish a plan to help prevent youth from entering or going any further into the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) or Florida Department of Children and Families (CDCF) systems, as well as to maintain regular school attendance and an appropriate living situation.
Upon receiving a referral or request for services, a case manager will complete screening to determine eligibility for services. If a child is found eligible, a Case Staffing Committee will bring together professionals from the community and the affiliated family to assist in identifying interventions that can help a youth’s trajectory for the positive.
Services to youth are provided during traditional business hours and after hours in communities, homes, and/or schools, connecting youth and families to a coordinated, comprehensive array of services that meet their ongoing needs.
