The TEAM HC program offers local travel ball teams a low-cost opportunity for player development and safety
With an increased need for practice space for travel ball teams throughout the county, Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation’s Athletics Division has created a practice program specifically tailored for travel ball teams, TEAM HC. With two 2-hour practices per week and six 8-week sessions, the program provides access to groomed and lighted fields, along with cost-effective practice space.
Through consistent practices, structured training, and a strong emphasis on player development and safety, this program is ideal for those seeking to enhance their team's skills while ensuring a secure playing environment.

2024 TEAM HC session schedule
- Session 1 – Jan. 7 - March 2
- Session 2 – March 3 - May 4
- Session 3 – May 5 - June 29
- Session 4 – June 30 - Aug. 24
- Session 5 – Aug. 25 - Oct. 19
- Session 6 – Oct. 20 - Dec. 21*
- *Fields Closed
- Thanksgiving break - Nov. 24 - Nov. 30
- Winter break - Dec. 22 - Dec. 31
TEAM HC session times
- League field use will be in 8‐week increments
- Each session allows for up to two practices each week
- Each practice is a maximum of 2 hours
- Additional practices or scrimmages against teams who are not in the TEAM HC program are allowed at the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners’ approved rate of $30 an hour, per field, and are subject to sales tax. The Florida sales tax will not be charged if a valid Consumers Certificate of Exemption is presented at the time of the rental.
- Each session allows for two optional scrimmages. Each scrimmage is a maximum of 2 hours and can only take place during a team’s normal scheduled practice day and time, or weekend day if available. The opposing team must be part of the TEAM HC program in order to scrimmage.
- A team may skip one full session without being penalized and return the immediate next session
- Only one session and all weeks in that session
- If a second session is taken, the team forfeits their use of the fields
Days and times of field availability
Fields are available seven days a week at the following times:
Monday through Friday
- 5:30 ‐ 7:30 PM
- 7:30 ‐ 9:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday
- 8 AM ‐ 8 PM
TEAM HC fees
$300 per session.
Current TEAM HC participants
When a currently registered team with the TEAM HC program ages up and requires a larger field, they are not automatically given priority placement. Instead, teams are advised to join the waitlist for the next available field.
