Hillsborough County Events to Get You in the Spirit
A touch of fall is in the air, and the calendar is quickly moving to October. This means spooky thrills are just around the corner! Hillsborough County offers a wide variety of activities for everyone – from children to adults, and even skateboarders. Whether you're seeking fright-filled fun or just want to embrace the season, there's something for all ages.
But with all the spookiness, safety should remain a priority. As residents prepare their jack-o-lanterns, don spooky costumes, and fill bags to the brim with candy, it's important to be aware of potential dangers. Here are some quick tips to help ensure a fun and safe Halloween:
- Visibility is key: Plan costumes that are bright and easy to see. Add reflective tape or stripes to costumes and trick-or-treat bags to help increase visibility in the dark.
- Mind the fit: Ensure shoes fit properly and costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement, or contact with flames.
- Fire safety: Check labels for "flame-resistant" on costumes, wigs, and accessories to minimize fire risks.
- Clear vision: If wearing a mask, make sure the eye holes are large enough to provide clear sightlines.
Stay safe and enjoy all the eerie excitement Hillsborough County has to offer this Halloween season!
