Classes at New Tampa Performing Arts Center help boost skills and self esteem

Whether you picture yourself on the silver screen or just want to find a new hobby, New Tampa Performing Arts Center (NTPAC) has classes for all ages, interests, and skill levels.

As an added bonus, instructors say the arts play a big role in improving mental health and have noticed students becoming more confident and outgoing during class.

According to the National Endowment for the Arts, arts education can support the social and emotional needs of young people by helping them better cope with feelings, and to show tolerance and compassion for others.

For older adults, arts participation has been linked to positive health outcomes.

Curious about the classes? NTPAC offers dance and drama courses for anyone aged four and up.

If you’re still on the fence or feel more comfortable out of the spotlight, volunteering at NTPAC gives you a front row seat to all the action.
