All kids in K-12 grade can participate in the Drop Savers Water Conservation Poster Contest
Each year, Hillsborough County Water Resources and the City of Tampa Water Department invite all K-12 students in Hillsborough County to participate in the Drop Savers Water Conservation Poster Contest.
This fun and educational opportunity is a way to inspire the next generation of water conservation ambassadors and to influence the important consumer and business decisions that impact our water resources.

Read the guidelines for information on student submissions, school submissions of winning posters, County and State-level competitions, and prizes.
The deadline for schools to send in winning submissions has been extended to Feb. 15, 2026.
Contest Winners
Winning submissions will receive the following prizes:
First-place winners receive:
- Custom jigsaw puzzle of winner's poster design
- Posters of their artwork
- Water conservation kit
- Reusable water bottles imprinted with their artwork to share with their class
- Advancement to the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association State-level for more prizes
First, second and third place winners will receive:
- Potential media recognition
- Display of winning artwork
- Potential invitation to be honored at a School Board Meeting (public school contestants only)
- Certificates of Recognition and Appreciation
