Report water main, sewer main, or other pipe breaks

Understanding water and sewer mains

Water mains are pipes that carry drinking water to homes and businesses.

Sewer mains are large, primary pipes in a sewage system that collect wastewater from connecting pipes and transport it to a treatment facility or disposal point.

How to report water and sewer main (pipe) breaks

Report water and sewer main (pipe) break issues such as street flooding not caused by rain, low water pressure, discolored water, or a water outage in your home.

To report street flooding that does not appear to be related to a water or sewer main (pipe) break, visit the Report Flooding webpage.

Note: If you are experiencing a water emergency such as a broken water main or a sewer emergency that is causing a backup into your home, sinkholes, or other property damage, do not submit an online request. Report it to Water Resources at (813) 272-5977.
