Program overview and obligation to the County

A modified excerpt from the Visa Liability Waiver Program (Waiver Program) is:

PC 17.1 - Program Overview

Waiver Program protects the County against eligible losses that is incurred through card misuse by a terminated eligible cardholder up to $100,000.00.

Waivable charges shall mean charges incurred by a cardholder or other authorized person which do not benefit the County directly or indirectly.

PC 17.2 - Obligations of the County

The County must cancel the account within two (2) business days of the notification of termination to comply with the Waiver Program. Failure to do so excludes coverage for any fraudulent charges incurred thereafter. If we have a fraudulent charge, a completed Visa Affidavit of Waiver Claim form, along with required documentation, must be submitted to BOA within 90 days of notification of termination. Once a claim is paid for a specific cardholder, no further claims for that cardholder will be considered
