Year-round disposal service of household hazardous waste, electronics, and paint for the City of Tampa and Temple Terrace
The City of Tampa and Temple Terrace have joined forces with Hillsborough County to provide their residents with year-round disposal service of:
Household hazardous waste
Materials accepted at the HHW Collection Centers include household products containing hazardous ingredients and labeled with words such as poison, danger, toxic, flammable, corrosive and reactive.
The following locations accept household hazardous waste from 8 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays throughout the month:
- First Saturday of the month - Sheldon Road Household Hazardous Collection Center - 9805 Sheldon Road in Tampa
- Second Saturday of the month - South County Solid Waste Facility - 13000 U.S. Highway 41 in Gibsonton
- Third Saturday of the month - Hillsborough Heights Solid Waste Facility - 6209 County Road 579 in Seffner

Unless otherwise noted, CCC's are open Monday - Saturday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM.
- Alderman's Ford Solid Waste Facility - 9402 County Road in Plant City
- Hillsborough Heights Solid Waste Facility - 6209 County Road in Seffner
- There is also HHW collection on the third Saturday of the month from 8 AM to 2 PM
- Northwest County Solid Waste Facility - 8001 W. Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa
- Sheldon Road HHW Collection Center- 9805 Sheldon Road in Tampa
- Only available on the first Saturday of the month from 8 AM to 2 PM
- Limited to HHW - this is not a CCC
- South County Solid Waste Facility - 13000 US Hwy 41 in Gibsonton
- There is also HHW collection on the second Saturday of the month from 8 AM to 2 PM
- Wimauma Solid Waste Facility - 16180 W. Lake Drive in Wimauma
What to know before you go
Tampa and Temple Terrace residents can take advantage of this service at Hillsborough County collection facilities for no additional charge by providing a valid driver's license as proof of City residency.
New Tampa residents receive solid waste services through Hillsborough County and have full customer access to all Hillsborough County facilities and services.
Important Note: For City of Tampa and Temple Terrace residents, only household hazardous waste and electronics recycling will be accepted at these locations. Contact your City solid waste provider for disposal options for other materials such as wood, furniture, construction debris, and household garbage.
