The Solid Waste facilities offer nine different services that range from Community Collection Centers (CCC) and Cooking Oil Recycling Effort (CORE) drop-off to Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and yard and wood waste disposal.

Community Collection Centers (CCC)
Unless otherwise noted, CCC's are open 7:30 AM to 5 PM
CCCs accept the following items: bulky waste & appliances, scrap metal, electronics, paint, tires, recyclables, and batteries. Certain documentation required depending on the item to dispose.

Cooking Oil Recycling Effort (CORE) drop-off

Commercial cooking oil is not accepted. Contact the Public Utilities Grease Management Program for a list of commercial vendors.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal
Available on Saturdays throughout the month from 8 AM to 2 PM. Learn more about discarding HHW.

- South County Solid Waste Facility - 2nd Saturday of the month
Landfill and resource recovery
Primarily used by commercial hauling companies and self-hauling customers with vehicles that are equipped with a self-unloading mechanism.
- Resource Recovery Facility - only burnable waste is accepted at this facility. Construction and demolition debris would not be accepted.
- Southeast County Landfill - residential solid waste customers may deliver solid waste to the landfill once they have reached the yearly free disposal limits at the CCCs and pay standard fees. Commercial customers may use the landfill facility for disposal of non-burnable solid waste (must complete waste profile form) and pay standard commercial disposal charges, also called tipping fees.
