Recycling rules depend on where you live. No matter where you live in Hillsborough County, plastic bags and bagged recycling do not belong in recycling carts. Learn how to improve the quality of items in your recycling cart by viewing the Recycling Guide and checking your local recycling program rules at least once a year.

The Recycling Guide is developed in partnership with Tampa Bay Times’ Newspapers in Education and includes activities tied to the Florida Department of Education standards; copies are delivered to all Hillsborough County Public Schools.
